Nithya J Rao

Nithya J Rao is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in the arts and mental health sectors. Currently, Nithya serves as the Founder of Becoming Shanta, a collective of healing practitioners, and Heart It Out, an initiative aimed at making mental health care accessible to 1.5 billion people by 2040. Nithya is also an Actor with Riverstage Productions Pvt. Ltd and a Co-Founder of both Katharsis Productions, a theatre production house, and Lahe Lahe, a rooftop performance space. Additional roles include being a Global Shaper at Global Shapers Bengaluru, where Nithya mentors young change-makers, and serving as an Adjunct Professor at Christ University, Bangalore, teaching Art Entrepreneurship. Prior experience includes significant contributions as a Psychologist at RoundGlass, where Nithya developed mental health awareness programs. Educational credentials encompass a Master's Degree in Psycho-social Rehabilitation and a BA in Performing Arts, Literature, and Psychology.
