Ali Khodaei

Ali Khodaei is an experienced product leader in artificial intelligence, currently serving as VP of AI Product at SandboxAQ since April 2025. Previously, Khodaei held roles at Google DeepMind as Group Product Manager, where a significant achievement included launching Google's first 'Thinking' large language model. At Google, Khodaei led the RAI Multi-Modality team and contributed to the first launches of Veo and VideoFX. Earlier experience includes serving as Lead Product Manager at Meta, focusing on AI initiatives related to Human Value Alignment and supporting AI Red Team efforts. Khodaei's career began at LinkedIn as a Principal/Product Manager overseeing Feed Relevance and Content Recommendations. Academically, Khodaei earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and an MS in Computer Science from UC Irvine.
