Nicolas Gama has extensive work experience in the field of security and cryptography. Nicolas is currently employed as the Principal Privacy Engineer at SandboxAQ since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Maître de conférences at Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ) starting from 2010. In this role, their expertise was in post-quantum security and homomorphic encryption, and they conducted research in lattice-based cryptography, geometry of numbers, algebraic cryptosystems, and information theory. Nicolas also taught advanced courses in applied cryptography, network and system security, and development of secured web applications.
From 2015 to 2022, Nicolas Gama served as the Chief Computer Scientist at Inpher, Inc. Here, they were responsible for the research and development of security and cryptographic software for distributed systems in the cloud environment. Their responsibilities included defining product requirements, creating architectural specifications, and ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms.
In 2010, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Laus

Nicolas Gama pursued their education from 2002 to 2009, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science at Ecole normale supérieure.
