Rob Scargill

Rob Scargill is an accomplished executive in the mining industry, currently serving as the Executive Director at Sandfire MATSA since April 2022, overseeing activities at Western Europe's largest underground metal mining complex. Previously, Scargill held prominent roles at Sandfire Resources America Inc from March 2018 to July 2023, including Project Director and CEO, where responsibilities included the Bankable Feasibility Study for the Black Butte underground copper project. Additional leadership positions include Interim CEO & President at Pele Mountain Resources Inc, Divisional Managing Director at Enirgi Group, and CEO & President of LeadFX Inc, focusing on lead-silver projects. Earlier experience includes Executive Vice President of Operations at Ivernia Inc and Managing Director at Magellan Metals. Scargill's career began with a B.Eng(hons) in Mining Engineering from the University of Nottingham, completed in 1988.
