David Logsted

Engineering Program/project Lead at Sandia Corporation

David Logsted, PMP, CTS has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David is currently working at Sandia National Laboratories as an Engineering Program/Project Lead. In this role, they are responsible for planning, leading, developing, and implementing engineering solutions and systems, with a focus on Counter UAS (CUAS) systems. David also develops project documentation, assembles project teams, and leads systems testing projects.

Prior to their current role, David worked as a Science & Engineering Project Manager at Sandia National Laboratories, where they managed various projects and oversaw the program to ensure compatibility of weapons with fighter and bomber aircraft. David was responsible for directing compatibility testing projects for aircraft such as the F-16 and F-35 fighters, and the B-2 bomber.

Before joining Sandia National Laboratories, David owned and worked as a Consultant and Project Manager at Compass AudioVisual, LLC. David provided audiovisual systems consulting, design, project management, acceptance testing, and owner representative services.

David also served as a Project Consultant at The Sextant Group, where they acted as an operational level contact for clients. David'sresponsibilities included project coordination, planning, programming, and budgeting.

In addition, David held the position of Director of Engineering, Audiovisual Division at Interface Communications Company, a low-voltage contractor. David oversaw the AV Division until they lost a major project and they were laid off.

David Logsted started their career at Sandia National Laboratories as a Scientific Visualization Systems Engineer and Project Manager. David was involved in designing and running compatibility testing projects for fighter and bomber aircraft. David later transitioned into the role of Electrical Systems Engineer in the Aircraft Compatibility department, focusing on ensuring ongoing compatibility between the aircraft and its weapons payload.

Throughout their career, David Logsted has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in engineering, project management, and audiovisual systems.

David Logsted, PMP, CTS has a BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of New Mexico, obtained from 1985 to 1992. David also holds a Certificate in Recording Engineering from The Recording Workshop, obtained in 1987. Additionally, they have several certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2009, and Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) from InfoComm in 2007. Other certifications include Extron Certified XTP Systems Engineer (XTP-E) from Extron in 2012, Crestron Digital Media Certified Designer (DMC-D) from Crestron in 2011, and ISF Commercial Certified Calibration Technician (ISF-C) from the Imaging Science Foundation in 2008.
