Douglas Medlin

Douglas Medlin is a Materials Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories, a position held since 1992. Research efforts focus on understanding how atomistic and mesoscale structures of interfaces influence the microstructural evolution and functional properties of materials, with particular emphasis on nanostructured bulk thermoelectric materials. Additionally, Douglas serves as an editor for the Journal of Materials Science since 2009. Douglas holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California, Davis, earned between 1988 and 1992.
