James Hunter

James Hunter, P.E. is a seasoned professional in engineering with a focus on nuclear and electrical disciplines. Since December 2014, James has been serving as a Research and Development Manager at Sandia National Laboratories, where leadership includes managing engineering teams on weapon science projects and overseeing system-level electrical design, automated test equipment fabrication, and hazardous testing. Previous roles at Sandia include Subassembly Lead and Product Realization Team Lead, with accomplishments in developing complex electronic subassemblies and critical components. Prior experience as a Nuclear Engineer with the US Navy involved managing personnel and engineering projects, with expertise in steam generators and propulsion systems, supported by advanced education with a Master's degree from Penn State University and a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University in Nuclear Engineering.
