Norman Jost is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sandia National Laboratories since May 2023, following a role as a Researcher at FutureVoltaics where the focus was on the development of components for a bifacial silicon photovoltaic system. From November 2016 to November 2022, Norman Jost completed a PhD at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, concentrating on micro-concentrator concepts and technologies for high-efficiency photovoltaic modules. A significant research stay at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was undertaken in late 2019, where Norman Jost explored the design and characterization of solar micro-concentrators. Prior experiences include work at Airbus Defence and Space on multi-junction solar cells and at Fraunhofer ISE, involving both research assistance and internships in the field of silicon wafering and degradation analysis in commercial solar modules. Norman Jost holds a Master of Science in Photovoltaic and Semiconductor Technology from TU Bergakademie Freiberg and a Bachelor of Engineering in the same field from Fachhochschule Jena.
