Marine Energy Technologies Lead, R&d Mechanical Engineer

Vincent Neary, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE, serves as the Marine Energy Technologies Lead and R&D Mechanical Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories since March 2013. Prior to this role, Vincent led the Marine and Hydrokinetic Technologies R&D at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from November 2009 to March 2013, where responsibilities included developing guidelines for field measurements and conducting site characterization for tidal energy. Earlier in academic tenure at Tennessee Technological University from January 1998 to June 2009, Vincent held the position of Associate Professor in the Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, focusing on research and teaching in water resources engineering. Vincent earned a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Agricultural Engineering with a focus on soil and water resources from Rutgers University.
