Benedict V. James is a trial lawyer and his career has been focused on trying lawsuits and litigation. Mr. James has conducted jury trials all over the state of Texas and is admitted to all the federal district court jurisdictions in Texas. Some of the counties where Mr. James has first-chaired jury trials are Travis County, Dallas County, Tarrant County, Collin County, Smith County, and Nueces County. Mr. James believes that as an attorney one must be a relentless force for justice and be fearless no matter the odds or the opposition. This attitude has helped thousands of his personal injury clients and thousands more to come.

Before founding S&J Law Firm with Esteban Sandoval, Mr. James worked for numerous successful personal injury law firms where he made millions for the clients he represented. When Mr. James was a child, he along with his family was admitted legal residence to the United States based on a refugee program at the time. Mr. James speaks fluent Bulgarian, which allows him to communicate well with not just Bulgarians, but with Serbians and Macedonians as well. Given his background, Mr. James is very familiar with the concept of oppression and the importance of fighting for those who are most underprivileged.

Mr. James along with Mr. Sandoval proudly manages the immigration department. Mr. James passionately does all he can to help good people become part of this great country. He is an active member of the Baylor Law School Alumni Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association.
