Samik Banerjee M.D.

Samik Banerjee MD has a wide range of experience in the medical field. Samik has held various roles at different companies, starting with their most recent position as the Global Program Medical Director at Sandoz, a position they have held since October 2023. Prior to that, they held positions at Novartis as the Medical Director and Associate Medical Director for Global Drug Development. Samik also worked at Pfizer as a Senior Medical Advisor and TA Lead, as well as a Medical Advisor. Samik Banerjee MD began their career as a Clinical Pharmacologist and Principal Investigator at Manipal Acunova and MMS, respectively. Samik also served as a Pharmacovigilance Trainee at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. In addition, they worked as a Post graduate student cum tutor at the Departments of Pathology and Microbiology. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Resident Medical Officer at Calcutta Heart Clinic and Hospital and as a Resident House Surgeon at the Department of Ophthalmology, Calcutta National Medical College. Samik started their medical career as a Rotating Intern at Calcutta National Medical College.

Samik Banerjee MD completed their education as follows:

- In 2021, they obtained a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, The Royal College of Physicians, UK.

- From 2007 to 2010, they attended Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Pharmacology.

- Between 1997 and 2003, they studied at Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, where they obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in Medicine.

In addition to their formal education, they also acquired additional certifications:

- In 2021, they completed a course on Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

- In 2020, they obtained a certification in Excel skills for business - essentials from Macquarie University.

- In 2014, they completed a course on Fundamentals of Clinical Trials through HarvardX - An Online Learning Initiative by Harvard University.

- In 2012, they acquired a certification in Health in Numbers: Quantitative Methods in Clinical & Public Health Research from Harvard University.
