Padmaparna Chaudhuri

Padmaparna Chaudhuri, PhD, serves as the Director of Technical Research at Sands Capital since July 2022. Previously, Padmaparna held multiple roles at Farcast Biosciences from October 2017 to May 2020, including Director R&D for Intellectual Property, R&D India Lead, and Principal Scientist, focusing on IP strategy and management. Prior to Farcast, Padmaparna worked at GE from April 2010 to September 2017 as Lead IP Professional and Research IP Professional, conducting strategic IP analyses and patent portfolio creation for healthcare technologies. Early career experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, specializing in cancer nanotechnology and drug delivery. Padmaparna earned a PhD in Bio-organic Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science and possesses an MS in Chemistry from the same institution, along with a BS in Chemistry from Presidency College.
