Jouni Haapala

Jouni Haapala is an experienced software testing and quality assurance professional with a comprehensive background spanning multiple industries. Currently serving as SW Test Manager and QA Lead at Sandvik since May 2019, Jouni leads a software testing team focused on web and tablet applications in the mining sector. Prior to this, Jouni co-founded Trainesense Ltd, a startup dedicated to swimming technique analysis software, and held various managerial positions at Microsoft and Nokia, where responsibilities included expanding lean development, managing production testing software, and overseeing project management for multiple terminal projects. Jouni began his career at the Finnish Air Force, contributing to software development, hardware design, and flight test systems. Jouni holds a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Tampere University of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Institute of Technology in Riihimäki.
