Victor Tapia

Victor Tapia is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the mining and construction sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Mining and Construction at Sandvik since January 2020, Victor Tapia has demonstrated effective leadership by maintaining a significant P&L responsibility of 400 MUSD and achieving impressive order intake growth during the Covid pandemic. Prior to Sandvik, Victor held multiple executive roles at Metso, including President of the Mining Capital Business Area, where responsibilities encompassed global business management and the development of customer-focused organizational strategies. Victor’s tenure at Atlas Copco featured several key positions, culminating in Division President roles, where Victor was instrumental in shaping strategic directions and driving sales growth across various regions and product lines. Educational achievements include an MBA in Marketing from ESAN Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Universidad Nacional de San Agustin de Arequipa.
