Alvaro Maza

Alvaro Maza's work experience begins in 2007 as an intern at the Job Market Office of Universidad de San Martin de Porres. In 2008, they joined IBM del Peru as a Jr. Programmer Analyst, where they developed web applications and a report module for the Peruvian National Police. Starting in 2009, Alvaro worked at Avantica Technologies as a Software Engineer and later as a Senior Software Engineer. Alvaro was involved in various projects, including implementing payment features using PayPal API and extending support for QuickBooks Online. In 2013, they briefly returned to Avantica for a few months as a Senior Software Engineer, working on the Sandvine project. Alvaro then joined Sandvine as a Solutions Engineer, where they developed software deliverables and integrated systems using various technologies. Alvaro progressed to roles such as Solutions Architect and Manager of Solutions Architect, leading teams and providing subject matter expertise. Currently, Alvaro holds the position of Director, Solution Engineering - Americas at Sandvine.

Alvaro Maza obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from Tecnológico de Monterrey in the years 2013 to 2015. Alvaro also completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science at The University of Queensland during their unspecified start and end year in 2014. Prior to their master's degrees, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Universidad de San Martin de Porres, graduating in 2009. Alvaro also has various certifications including Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in 2012, Oracle Certified Expert, Java Platform, EE 6 Web Component Developer from Oracle in 2012, Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer from Oracle in 2011, and IBM Certified Solution Designer - Object Oriented Analysis and Design, vUML 2 from IBM in 2010.
