Jennifer Emery Sphr

Jennifer Emery, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. Jennifer currently serves as the Director of Human Resources and Risk Management at the City of Sandy Springs since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the Palmdale Water District as the Human Resources Director from November 2013 to September 2021. Jennifer also has experience as the Director of Human Resources at the Helen Woodward Animal Center from November 2008 to November 2013.

Jennifer Emery, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has a strong education background in law and human resources management. Jennifer obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Northwestern California University School of Law in the years 2014 to 2019. Prior to pursuing law, Jennifer earned a Bachelor's degree in Management of Human Resources from Bellevue University in 2008 and 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Jennifer has also obtained several certifications. Jennifer became an Attorney after passing the California Bar Association exam in January 2021. Furthermore, they obtained the SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management in January 2015. Jennifer also holds the SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification from the HR Certification Institute, which they obtained in 2009.
