Roy Mutooni

Roy Mutooni, CFA, currently serves as a Portfolio Manager/Analyst at Sanlam Investments since December 2022. Previously, from August 2015 to January 2023, Roy worked as an Analyst for the ABSA Africa fund, focusing on equities across the African continent. Roy held the position of Director at Renaissance Capital from July 2012 to July 2015, analyzing stocks in the Diversified Industrials and Services sector within the African Cement market. Prior to that, Roy was a Director at Deutsche Securities from October 2003 to June 2012, where responsibilities included analyzing industrial companies in South Africa while leading a highly rated team. Roy's career began as an Associate at Stern Stewart & Co. (2001-2003), concentrating on value-based management projects, and as General Manager at Equity Stockbrokers (1994-1998), overseeing operations and achieving high market share on the Nairobi Stock Exchange. Roy holds an MBA in Finance from Wits Business School and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Nairobi.
