Michael Barakat

Michael joined Sanne in 2021. In addition to the oversight of the day to day operations for the compliance team, Michael is responsible for growing awareness of compliance services and designing and executing compliance programs for new and existing clients.

Michael has more than 20 years of experience managing an effective enterprise compliance program and has held the position of Chief Compliance Officer for some of the largest financial institutions in the industry. He was most recently CCO for AIG Retirement Services, a registered investment adviser and broker-dealer. Prior to that, Michael served as CCO for TIAA Endowment & Philanthropic Services, an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) offering endowment management, consulting and support for governance and risk management solutions.
