Fernande Freyermuth

Principal Scientist

Fernande Freyermuth is a Principal Scientist and Lab head at Sanofi, currently focusing on research related to human diseases, particularly Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Myotonic Dystrophy. Previously, Freyermuth served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, as well as at the University of California San Diego. They also held the position of Senior Scientist at Astellas Pharma US. Freyermuth earned a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms in Human Disease from the Université de Strasbourg, where they also completed a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. With expertise in molecular and cellular biology, Freyermuth is dedicated to developing cellular models to investigate the mechanisms underlying ALS.
