Alain Braun

Alain Braun is a seasoned pharmaceutical professional with extensive experience in medicinal chemistry and project leadership. Currently serving as Group Leader in Medicinal Chemistry at Sanofi since January 2006, Alain oversees compound profiling and lead optimization in immunooncology, coordinating collaborative projects while adhering to business timelines and budgets. Previous roles include Project Team Leader in the same company, focusing on Type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cancer therapies, along with leadership positions at Sanofi Aventis and Synthelabo, where Alain managed SAR analysis and ADME property optimization. Alain's career began at McDonald's as a manager before advancing into the pharmaceutical sector. Academically, Alain holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Université Louis Pasteur and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Ohio State University.
