Miguel Alonso-Alonso

Miguel Alonso-Alonso, MD PhD, currently serves as Global Clinical Lead and Senior Medical Director in Neurology Clinical Development at Sanofi since June 2019. Prior to this role, Alonso-Alonso was a Co-Investigator at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, contributing to the Look AHEAD Extension Trial, which evaluated long-term benefits of Intensive Lifestyle Intervention for type 2 diabetes. Earlier positions include Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, where research focused on the neurocognitive aspects of eating behavior and obesity, and Director of the Laboratory of Bariatric and Nutritional Neuroscience. Alonso-Alonso's academic journey includes multiple degrees in medicine and neuroscience from prestigious institutions, culminating in a PhD from Universitat de Barcelona.
