Volker Derdau

Volker Derdau is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in isotope chemistry and pharmaceutical research. Since October 2000, Derdau has been with Sanofi, currently serving as the Head of the Center of Excellence in Isotope Chemistry and Senior Distinguished Scientist, while also having held positions as Section Head in Isotope Science & Chemical Biology and Teamleader for Drug Safety Animal Research. In addition to industry roles, Derdau has been active in academia as a Guest Lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt from October 2011 to June 2018. Since January 2017, Derdau has served as Editor In Chief of the Journal of Labelled Compounds and Radiopharmaceuticals and as European Associate Editor of the Journal of Radiolabelled Compounds and Radiopharmaceuticals. Derdau's educational background includes a Post-Doctorate from Queen's University, a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Technische Universität Braunschweig, and a Diplom in Chemistry from the University of Münster.
