Ashley S. has extensive experience in information security and compliance, currently serving as the Director of Global Governance and Risk at SANS Institute since August 2015. Previously, Ashley held multiple leadership roles at Michigan Technological University, including Chief Information Compliance Officer, where responsibilities included managing the university’s information security program, establishing IT control frameworks, and overseeing compliance with various regulations such as PCI-DSS and HIPAA. With earlier positions at Pioneer Surgical Technology, Plante & Moran, PLLC, and Dana Corporation, Ashley's background encompasses IT consulting, internal auditing, and risk analysis. Ashley holds a Master of Science in Information Assurance and Security from Capella University and a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Michigan Technological University.
