Dennis Kirby

Dennis Kirby is the Chief Executive Officer at SANS Institute since June 2024, previously serving as Director from January 2009 to September 2024. Prior to his tenure at SANS Institute, Dennis held the position of Vice President at American Capital from January 2007 to January 2009 and was Principal at Questor Management Company from January 2000 to January 2007. Earlier in his career, Dennis was an Associate at Bowles Hollowell Connor from November 1998 to January 2000 and a Project Manager at John Deere from July 1997 to October 1998. Dennis began his professional journey as a Captain in the US Army from May 1989 to August 1995. Educational qualifications include an MBA in General Management from Harvard Business School (1995-1997) and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point (1985-1989).
