Shaun McCullough

Shaun McCullough is a Cloud Security Architect at GitHub since January 2022 and has served as a co-author and certified instructor for the SANS SEC541 course on Cloud Security Threat Detection since January 2018. This course is distinguished by its emphasis on practical, hands-on experience with various cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365. Previously, Shaun worked for the United States Department of Defense from December 2001 to January 2022, focusing on security engineering and developing open-source software aligned with MITRE ATT&CK, as well as supporting cyber operational services. Shaun holds a Master of Science in Information Security Engineering from the SANS Technology Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech.
