Santa Barbara County Fire Department
Rob Hazard has worked as a Wildland Firefighter for the US Forest Service from June 1988 to August 1998. Rob then joined the Santa Barbara County Fire Department as a Battalion Chief in August 1998 and was promoted to Division Chief in April 2019, a position they still hold.
Rob Hazard attended Santa Barbara City College from 1983 to 1985, where they earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electronics Technology.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department serves and safeguards the community from the impacts of fires, medical emergencies, environmental emergencies, and natural disasters through leadership, planning, education, prevention, code enforcement, and all-hazard emergency response. Since 1926, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department has supported the County of Santa Barbara through 16 stations and approximately 300 personnel.
