Hector Estrada

Deputy Chief Of Fire Prevention at Santa Clara County Fire Department

Hector Estrada has extensive work experience in the fire department sector. Hector currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Fire Prevention at the Santa Clara County Fire Department since June 2021. Prior to this role, they were the Deputy Chief and Division Chief at the City of San José Fire Department. Their tenure at the San José Fire Department spanned from 1997 to 2021, during which they held various positions including Fire Captain. Before joining the fire department, Hector worked at Siemens Rolm Communications as a Data Integrity Analyst and at Delta Graphics Screenprinting as the Owner. Hector also has experience as an Engineering Support Specialist at Symantec.

Hector Estrada has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UCLA, which they obtained from 1989 to 1993. Prior to that, they received an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from De Anza College. Hector completed this degree in 1989. In 2018, Hector pursued further education and obtained a certificate in Project Management from the University of California, Berkeley Extension. This program was completed in 2019.
