Ruchi B. is a seasoned professional in real estate development with extensive experience in various roles and industries. Currently serving at the Santa Clara County Housing Authority since May 2023, Ruchi previously held the position of Real Estate Professional at Pacific Point Group from May 2017 to April 2022. Earlier, Ruchi worked at LumberTree as a Product Development & Sourcing Manager, where responsibilities included sourcing timber products from Malaysia and negotiating innovative design solutions. Ruchi began a career at the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy as a Territory Business Manager, focusing on data mining and client acquisition while mentoring a diverse team. Santa Clara County Housing Authority
The Santa Clara County Housing Authority (SCCHA) provides rental assistance to approximately 20,000 low-income households across Santa Clara County annually through the Housing Choice Voucher program. Furthermore, SCCHA also develops, owns, and manages over 2,900 affordable housing units - with close to 1,000 units in our current development pipeline. A key partner in the community’s effort to end homelessness, SCCHA provides rental assistance for over 2,700 formerly unhoused individuals and families. As part of HUD’s ”Move to Work,” SCCHA programs and properties are targeted to assist low-income households while helping residents become self-sufficient. The vast majority—more than 80%—of our households are extremely low-income families, seniors, veterans, persons with disabilities, and the formerly unhoused. Working together with landlords, housing developers, non-profits, and local governments, we strive to provide quality affordable housing and supportive services to as many individuals and families throughout Santa Clara County.
