Anissa Fernandez

Anissa Fernandez is currently the President of the Association of Women in Mathematics at Santa Clara University, where responsibilities include planning events to support women in mathematics. Anissa has experience as a Mathematics Grader, assisting professors with grading for various math courses. Additionally, Anissa works as a Student Assistant with Professor Chi-Yun Hsu, focusing on integrating sustainability into discrete mathematics coursework, and has served as a Research Assistant for the TailorEd Project, categorizing classroom photos for machine learning applications. Previous roles include Sales Associate at Homegoods and Marshalls Convenience Stores, as well as officiating sports events as a Scorekeeper and Referee at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and an Umpire for the San Ramon Valley Girls Athletic League. Anissa is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Santa Clara University, expected to graduate in 2025.
