Catherine Murphy

Catherine (Kitty) Murphy possesses extensive academic experience, currently serving as the Associate Provost for Faculty Personnel & Policy and Associate Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at Santa Clara University since March 1998. Additionally, Catherine is the Associate Director of the Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries at the same institution. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Dead Sea Scrolls Publication Project at the University of Notre Dame from September 1993 to February 1999, as well as teaching Religion at Saint Francis High School from August 1986 to June 1989 and serving as Activities Director and Dorm Staff at San Domenico School from August 1983 to June 1986. Catherine holds an M.A. in Catechetics from the University of Notre Dame, completed between 1989 and 1999, and a degree from Santa Clara University obtained between 1984 and 1987.
