David C. Anastasiu

David C. Anastasiu currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Santa Clara University, focusing on teaching, academic service, and research in the fields of machine learning, data mining, high performance computing, and computational genomics. Previously, David held a similar role at San Jose State University, with research interests in data mining, high performance computing, information retrieval, and cloud computing. David earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, where innovative algorithms for nearest neighbor graph construction and multivariate time-series analysis were developed. Earlier experience includes data mining consultancy at In-Depth, Inc., research assistance at Texas State University Data Mining Lab, and systems development roles at PPD, where significant contributions to clinical trial support systems were made.
