Erica Kelly

Erica Kelly is an experienced educator currently serving as a 7th Grade Science Teacher at Santa Maria Bonita School District since August 2023, utilizing the Amplify Curriculum. Previously, Erica spent 17 years at Long Beach Unified School District, where responsibilities included promoting effective classroom management and developing standards-based curriculum in science for high school students. Erica has also held leadership roles as a Lead Teacher for summer science camps at California State University, Long Beach, mentoring teaching assistants in inquiry-based lesson development. Additional experience includes volunteering at The Wildlife Waystation and Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, and a role as a Naturalist for the City of Long Beach. Erica holds a Master's in Science Education and a teaching credential from California State University, Long Beach, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Ohio Wesleyan University.
