Merial Buikema

Merial Buikema currently serves as the STEAM Literacy TOSA at Santa Maria Bonita School District since 2021, bringing a wealth of experience from previous roles including a 4/5 Teacher and Robotics Teacher at Atascadero Unified School District from 2018 to 2021. Additional teaching positions have included 5th grade and 5/6 Teacher within the same district, as well as various roles such as Administrative Director at YMCA of SLO County and multiple teaching positions as a substitute and student teacher. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, a Multiple Subject Credential, and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies with a Music Minor, all from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
