Diana Gomez is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in public law and academia. Currently serving as Deputy County Counsel at Sonoma County Counsel since September 2016, Diana specializes in land use, code enforcement, receiverships, litigation, and cannabis law. In addition to this role, Diana has been an adjunct professor at Santa Rosa Junior College since January 2010. Prior positions include Chief Deputy District Attorney and Assistant District Attorney at the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office from November 2003 to September 2016, Assistant City Attorney for the City of Vallejo from October 2001 to November 2003, and Senior Deputy District Attorney for the County of Orange from May 1988 to October 2001. Diana's career began as an Associate Attorney at Sayre, Moreno, Purcell and Boucher from February 1987 to May 1988. Diana earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Santa Clara University School of Law between 1983 and 1986.
