Joseph O. Hancock III

Joseph O. Hancock III, ASW, is a seasoned mental health professional and educator currently serving as a Therapist and Outreach Specialist focused on Black and African-American students, Faculty Lecturer, and Housing Project Coordinator at Santa Rosa Junior College, as well as a Faculty Lecturer in the School of Social Work at San Francisco State University. Hancock’s experience encompasses various roles, including Associate Clinical Social Worker at Keystone Therapy & Training Services and Co-Founder of LoveLab, a community for creatives. Previous positions include providing counseling and support for BIPOC students at the University of North Texas, facilitating psychotherapy as a Post Graduate Counseling Fellow at Middlebury College, and mentoring student athletes at the University of Virginia. Hancock holds a Master's degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Norfolk State University.
