Agustín Bircher

Agustín Bircher, CFA has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Agustín began their career at Banco Santander in 2010, where they served as a Structural FX Analyst, analyzing foreign exchange risk and optimizing hedging costs. Agustín later transitioned to the role of Liquidity Risk Analyst, responsible for analyzing and managing liquidity needs. In 2013, Agustín joined Analistas Financieros Internacionales as a Senior Consultant, specializing in macro and markets research and providing financial advisory services to institutional clients. During this time, they also served as a professor in the Master in Banking and Finance program at Escuela de Finanzas Aplicadas. In 2014, Agustín joined ALLIANZ POPULAR ASSET MANAGEMENT, SGIIC SA as a Fixed Income Fund Manager. Currently, they are the Head of Financial Investments / Front Office at santalucia seguros, where they oversee financial investments and previously held the role of Head of Fixed Income.

Agustín Bircher, CFA holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, with a specialization in Law, from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid earned in 2009. In 2010, they completed a Master's degree in Banking and Risk Management from Universidad de Alcalá. In 2020, Agustín obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Insolvency Law from the University of Deusto. Agustín is also a CFA Charterholder certified by the CFA Institute.
