Hannes van Vuuren

Hannes van Vuuren has an extensive work experience history. Hannes has held various roles at different companies. Hannes started at Lotus Development as a Consultant in 2000 and then moved to GijimaAst as a Portfolio Manager in eLearning. Following this, they transitioned to eDegree as a Project Manager. In 2006, they joined IBM, where they worked in progressively higher positions, culminating in the role of Software Group Director for South Africa. After that, they worked at Microsoft as the Director of Enterprise and Partner Group and later as the Enterprise Commercial Director. Currently, they are at Santam Insurance, where they started as the Chief Digital Officer and now serves as the Head of IT Special Projects.

Hannes van Vuuren completed a B.Sc in Information Technology at the University of Pretoria from 1995 to 1997. Hannes later pursued a B.Sc Honours in Computing at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2020 to 2021.
