Weibin Xu

Weibin Xu, PhD, is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in risk modeling and management. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Risk Modeling at Santander Consumer USA Inc. since August 2014, Weibin leads a diverse team to develop and monitor a range of risk models, including those related to credit loss and capital forecasting. Prior to this role, Weibin held significant positions at JP Morgan Chase, Citi, and Bank of America, focusing on model risk management and analysis in the auto finance and credit card sectors. Academic credentials include a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's and bachelor's degree from Peking University, complemented by studies at the CFA Institute.
