Isabel Barroso-Gomez

Isabel Barroso-Gomez has a solid work experience in various roles related to data management and governance. Isabel is currently serving as the Chief Data Officer at Santander Consumer Bank - Nordics since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Data Capitalization and Governance at Fremtind from January 2019 to August 2020. From February 2017 to August 2020, they held the position of Head of Data Governance at Sparebank 1 Gruppen AS. Before that, they gained experience as the IT Director for BI, CRM, and MDM at Statoil Fuel & Retail AS from January 2015 to January 2017. Isabel also worked as the Director of Data and Analytics at Avanade in 2014 and held various roles at Avanade from 2011 to 2014, including Business Intelligence Service Line Lead and BI Manager. Isabel Barroso-Gomez obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Oslo from 1998 to 2001. Isabel also attended Oslo Merkantile Høyskole in 1996, studying Marketing. In the same year, they briefly studied Ex.phil at the University of Oslo. Prior to that, they attended Kontra VGS from 1989 to 1992, focusing on Markedsføring. In addition to their formal education, Isabel has obtained certifications in Learning SnowflakeDB from LinkedIn and has become a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist through Agile Extreme in 2022.
