Joao Viana

Joao Viana is an experienced professional with a strong focus on customer acquisition, engagement, automation, and operational excellence in the banking industry. Currently serving at Santander Portugal since May 2018, significant roles include Head of Customer Acquisition and Engagement as well as Head of Automation and Processes Centers of Excellence. Prior to Santander, Joao held various leadership positions at Millennium bcp, managing the bank's strategic and innovation agendas, and served as an advisor in the Portuguese Government. Joao also has a solid academic background, holding a CEMS Master's in International Management and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Management from Nova School of Business and Economics, complemented by international education experiences at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Inholland University of Applied Sciences, and Aalto University.
