Diego Gonzalez

Diego Gonzalez is a seasoned executive in the finance and real estate sectors, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Santander Real Estate Investment Management since November 2021, managing a $9 billion multifamily real estate portfolio in collaboration with the FDIC. Prior experience includes roles as Head of Corporate Development at Banco Santander Mexico, where Diego was Chief of Staff to the CEO for North America, and Director of Corporate Development at Perseus Energy. Additional background encompasses strategic planning at Axis Capital Management, investment roles at Credit Suisse and Citi, and extensive experience in corporate and investment banking. Diego holds an MBA with merit from Durham University Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México, along with participation in an exchange program at Mount Royal University.
