Sarah Ramsay

Sarah Ramsay has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Sarah is currently serving as the Senior Director of Quality at Santen, a position they have held since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Eyevance Pharmaceuticals as the Senior Director of Quality from June 2020. Sarah also held the role of Director of Quality at Eyevance Pharmaceuticals from October 2018 until June 2020. Before joining Eyevance Pharmaceuticals, Sarah worked as an independent consultant from April 2018. Sarah gained substantial experience during their time at Novartis as the Senior Manager of Pharmaceutical Research & Development QA, a position they held from 2015 until 2018. Sarah also worked at Smith & Nephew as the Head of Special Projects/Senior Research Scientist from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they held various roles at Healthpoint Biotherapeutics, including Senior Scientist from 2007 to 2012 and Scientist II-III from 2003 to 2007. Sarah started their career at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, where they worked as a Senior Research Assistant from 2001 to 2003 and as a Research Assistant from 2000 to 2001. Overall, Sarah Ramsay has held various leadership and specialist positions throughout their career, providing their with a diverse skill set in quality assurance within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Sarah Ramsay earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biochemistry from UT Health San Antonio in 2001. Sarah then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Health Genetics at Clemson University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology from St. Mary's University.
