Lori Slayton has over 35 years of experience in finance and accounting. Lori began their career in 1982 as a Project Accountant for the Trump Organization, where they processed invoices and requisitions for the Taj Mahal Hotel Casino Project. In 2004, they became a Financial Administrative Assistant at Chatham Baptist Church. From 2006 to 2011, they served as the Executive Director of Chatham Cares, Inc., where they developed office systems using QuickBooks software and analyzed and prepared monthly financial statements. In 2011, they were appointed Business Office Director at Emeritus Senior Living, where they managed accounts payable, billing cycles, accounts receivable, collections and payroll. From 2014 to present, they have held various finance and accounting roles at eBenefits Network, Santeon, Inc., and ILERRA. At the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, they managed the grant and higher education scholarship payment cycle using Great Plains Dynamics and reconciled general ledger accounts to the Scholarship and Grants Management System.
Lori Slayton obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Stockton University between 1975 and 1979. In 2009, they completed a Certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Duke University. Additionally, they obtained a Non-Profit Management Certification from Duke University in August 2009 and an Assisted Living Administrator Certification from the Virginia Department of Health in May 2014.
