Jay Aquino

Jay Aquino has extensive experience in training and competency development within the oil and gas sector, currently serving as the Manager of Competency Based Training and Assessment at Santos Ltd since April 2016. Aquino plays a key role in implementing the Oil Search Competency Assurance Program, supporting Training Coordinators and Trainers, and developing tailored training and assessment materials. Previous positions include Training Manager for PNG BU Operations and Training Manager at Clough Amec, where responsibilities involved managing technical training deliverables for the Chevron Wheatstone Upstream ORM Project. Aquino holds a Masters in Project Management from Penn State University, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of British Columbia, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Additionally, Aquino is a member of the Board for the National Apprentice and Trades Training Board Papua New Guinea.
