Robert Overton

Robert Overton is a Senior Project Engineer at Santos Ltd since April 2022, focusing on the Bayu-Undan life extension and carbon capture and storage projects. Previously, Robert worked as a Lead Structural Engineer at Wood from September 2019 to April 2022 and as an Independent Wind Energy Consultant from October 2018 to June 2020. From August 2016 to July 2018, Robert served as a Senior Technical Project Lead at Ørsted, contributing to the Hornsea 1 wind farm. Robert also held the position of Structural Engineering Group Manager at CUEL Ltd. in Thailand from November 2005 to May 2016, leading a team of engineers and draughtsmen, and worked as a Lead Structural Engineer on EPCi for WHPs in the Gulf of Thailand. Earlier experience includes Senior Structural Engineer roles with Tri Ocean Engineering LTD on the Sakhalin II Project and Tiga JV on the Bayu Undan Project. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University, obtained between 1983 and 1987.
