Sumanta Chakraborty

Sumanta Chakraborty has over two decades of extensive experience in the manufacturing and software sectors, specializing in digital manufacturing solutions. Currently serving as Chief Product Expert for Customer Advocacy in SAP Digital Manufacturing, Sumanta leads initiatives focused on customer excellence and engagement across global markets. Former roles include Product Owner positions overseeing the development of manufacturing execution systems and SAP's manufacturing products, as well as Solution Manager for the India sub-continent, where responsibilities spanned pre-sales support and customer co-innovation. Prior experience includes roles at BaaN as a Software Engineer, focusing on functional testing and process improvement, and senior engineering positions at Tata Motors in vehicle production and assembly operations. Sumanta holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur and has continued professional development through certifications since 2003.
