Akilan Govindaraj

Akilan Govindaraj has extensive experience in the field of Quality Assurance and Testing. Akilan started their career as a Test Engineer at Maveric Systems Limited in 2013, where they performed User Acceptance Testing for a greenfield project in collaboration with United India Insurance. Akilan was responsible for analyzing business requirements and translating them into efficient test scenarios. Akilan then moved on to serve as a Senior Test Engineer at Maveric Systems Limited, where they successfully managed testing activities for critical software applications, including eBao (Core Insurance Application), SPACE (Desktop Application), and Oracle Finance. Akilan prepared scenarios, test conditions, test cases, test data, test scripts, and run plans with meticulous attention to detail. Akilan also managed defect and execution management for releases and production issues.

Akilan then joined Sapiens in 2016 as an Associate Consultant. Akilan later transitioned to the role of Senior QA, where they spearheaded testing efforts for a significant system upgrade project, gaining in-depth knowledge of the software product. Akilan conducted system testing and system integration testing to ensure the smooth transition and functionality of the upgraded system. Currently, Akilan serves as a Principal QA consultant for Folksam, one of Sweden's largest and prestigious insurance companies. Akilan specializes in system integration testing, conducts workshops on requirements, actively identifies gaps, and collaborates with stakeholders to refine project goals. Overall, Akilan has a diverse range of experience and expertise in the field of Quality Assurance and Testing.

Akilan Govindaraj completed their higher secondary education in Computer Science at Reliance Matriculation Higher Secondary school from 2006 to 2008. Akilan then pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science at Anna University from 2008 to 2012. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the International Software Testing Qualifications Board certification from Indian Testing Board in 2013. Akilan also earned the Agile Explorer and Artificial Intelligence Fundamentals certifications from IBM in 2024.
