Director Client Engagement at Sapphire Digital

Margaret Cooper began their work experience as a Benefits Specialist/HR Generalist at Lexington Clinic in 1999 and held that role until 2005. Margaret then moved on to Ainak, where they served as a Human Resources Supervisor from 2005 to 2009. During their time at Ainak, Margaret processed benefit paperwork, administered various benefits, ensured compliance with state and federal laws, and implemented a wellness program.

In 2009, Margaret joined the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a Benefits Program Consultant. Margaret acted as a liaison between state agencies and public employees, responding to inquiries and coordinating open enrollment periods.

Most recently, Margaret has been working at Sapphire Digital since 2016. Margaret started as a Client Engagement Manager before being promoted to Senior Client Engagement Manager in 2019. Currently, Margaret holds the position of Director Client Engagement, starting in January 2022.

Margaret Cooper earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Business from Eastern Kentucky University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Margaret furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Human Resources and Organizational Management, with a concentration in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, from the University of Louisville. Margaret attended the University of Louisville from 2013 to 2015. Margaret has also obtained a certification as an SPHR from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, although the specific timing of this certification is unknown.
