David Maxwell

David (Max) Maxwell is an experienced compliance professional with a robust career spanning over two decades in various leadership roles across multiple financial institutions. Currently serving as an Experienced Compliance Professional at Saranac Partners since August 2022, David has held significant positions including Compliance Manager at Stonehage Fleming, where responsibilities extended to Deputy Head of Risk & Compliance. Previous roles include Director of Compliance at Standard Chartered Bank and Compliance Manager at HSBC Private Bank. David's early career included compliance-related positions at Williams de Broe, Carr Sheppards Crosthwaite, and APCIMS, among others. Academically, David holds a BA in Law from Stellenbosch University and a postgraduate diploma from Guildhall University.
