Max Tan

Max Tan serves as the Concertmaster at Opera Philadelphia since May 2023 and also holds the position of Artistic Director at Soundbox Ventures. Additionally, Max Tan is a Board Member for both MUSECONNECT INC and SUNSET CHAMBERFEST. Since September 2017, Max Tan has been performing as a Violinist with Sarasota Orchestra and concurrently works as a Faculty Assistant and Teaching Fellow at The Juilliard School. An experienced Online Tutor with InstaEDU since February 2013, Max Tan previously held the role of Chamber Music Assistant at The Perlman Music Program in August 2021. Max Tan's research experience includes undergraduate research positions at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Shanghai Medical College at Fudan University. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Musical Arts, an Artist Diploma, and a Master of Arts in Violin Performance from The Juilliard School, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.
